Sunday Soaping

Today, the sun was shining and I was sneezing (hello, pollen!).....sure signs that spring is around the corner. I haven't felt too inspired lately, but I decided to pull out my soap bases and see if I could come up with some quick and easy spring-themed soaps. This is what I came up with:

Plumeria (I had fun with the marbling):

Bunny (I cooled the soap before pouring, that's why it looks pillowy):

Iced Coffee (I don't feel like this one is done yet, I might drizzle a bit of dark soap on top or maybe add a coffee bean):

Oatmeal Pear (Love this fragrance combo - OMH + pear):
I hope you all had a great weekend, thanks for looking!

  1. What does it look like when you ARE inspired, if these ones you make when you're not?
Love them all, beautidul flower on 'cherry cake', little bunny, taking nap on its pillow (or bed), beautiful cubes embeded into white and coffee cup looks so real. I know it will look even more realistic with details you plan to add. Perfect work for just one day!

    1. Lol, thanks Maja! I guess what I mean by 'uninspired' is that I usually have a clear focus and vision of what I want the soap to look like before I start to make it, but with these ones...I just started making them and decided as I went. I guess sometimes, you just have to jump in :)

    1. Thanks Gloria, it was a fluke the way the top pillowed on the bunny one, but my daughter liked it so much...I only hope I will be able to recreate it!

  5. So inspiring Cee! This sleeping bunny is really unique. So interesting to see the soap surface serves as bad linen.

  7. Oh Cee, you really are a natural soaper with loads of good ideas even when uninspired. I love them all, but the Bunny is just my favourite and the oatmeal pear also. I have never tried melt and pour (for me it never counted as soap somehow) but for a little touch here and there it is very inspiring.

    1. Thanks Angela, I really appreciate it! I like that I can do different things creatively with MP soap, and of course the fact that it's ready to use right away is perfect for an impatient person like me! :D

Holy moly if I was half as creative as you when you're not too inspired, I'd be thrilled. The bunny is soooo adorable on the pillow, and I love the 3-D effect of the flower sitting on top of the gorgeous marbling. Are you going to sell your coffee soaps to Starbucks? They are so realistic looking! Love, love, love!
