Hot Process Soap - Oatmeal, Coconut Milk and Honey

Love, love, love making hot process soap! This soap contains oatmeal, coconut milk and honey, all added after the cook...with honey soap drizzled on top :)

Here is a video demonstrating how I make my basic hot process soap:

    1. You can actually use any cold process recipe to make this hot process soap, just use your favorite one :) What I did was hold back a small amount of the liquid called for and then added it as coconut milk after the cook (about an ounce). I also added honey and oatmeal (about 1 tbsp of each) after the cook. I separated a smaller portion of soap and added titanium dioxide to it for the top. Then I drizzled melted glycerin honey soap over top.

  5. Your HP soaps are beautiful. You inspired me to make my first batch today and i am in love. I added Sodium lactate and a yoghurt/coconut milk slurry at the end of the cook to try and keep the batter more fluid. It looks pretty good, but there were a lot of air bubbles (not use to that in cp soap). Just wondering if you have any tips about how to avoid them as your soaps look so smooth ;). Thanks so much!
