I was honored to see my name listed as one of Silvia's nominations for the Versatile Blogger Award! I have enjoyed Silvia's blog (SoapJam) since I first discovered it last year. She makes so many wonderful soaps, but her packaging is really amazing too and something I aspire to. Thank you Silvia for your naming my blog on your list! :)
Here are the rules for the award:
VBA RULES:
(Copied from versatilebloggeraward.wordpress.com)
If you are nominated, you’ve been awarded the Versatile Blogger
award.(Copied from versatilebloggeraward.wordpress.com)
- Thank the person who gave you this award. That’s common courtesy.
- Include a link to their blog. That’s also common courtesy — if you can figure out how to do it.
- Next, select 15 blogs/bloggers that you’ve recently discovered or follow regularly. ( I would add, pick blogs or bloggers that are excellent!)
- Nominate those 15 bloggers for the Versatile Blogger Award — you might include a link to this site.
- Finally, tell the person who nominated you 7 things about yourself.
My 15 nominees (I'm trying to not duplicate ones I saw nominated on other blogs):
7 things about me:
I live in British Columbia, Canada, eh.
I don’t like Tim Horton’s coffee (I feel like a bad Canadian
admitting that).
My favorite drink is a ½ sweet salted caramel mocha from
Starbucks.
My favorite food is French fries.
When I was a little kid, we got to babysit 2 baby bear cubs
overnight, they are cuddlier than you would think!
I once won $10,000 on a scratch & win ticket.
I was a competitive figure skater growing up.
Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteWhy bear cubs?? And where? So exiting. I would have loved that too.
My dad worked in the forest and came across them. Their mom had died :( He was asked to care for them overnight until the proper authorities could pick them up. It was a once in a lifetime experience! :)
DeleteThank you for nominating me!! It means so much coming from such a great blogger!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome Anna! :D
DeleteI'm so glad Silvia chose to nominate you Cee (although it means I have to find another nominee now) because I love learning more about my fellow soaping bloggers.
ReplyDeleteDon't feel bad about the Tim Hortons coffee, I think their coffee's for people who can't handle real coffee. The bear cubs must've been adorable! I hope they were relocated somewhere safe. Do you still skate, or are you too busy soaping?
I can't wait to see your list Monica, it's really hard to pick...there are so many great blogs!
DeleteThanks for the pep talk about the TH coffee, I totally agree with your analysis...ha ha! If I recall correctly, the bear cubs were at a rehab facility until they were old enough to be released. I don't get to skate very often and when I do...well, let's just say it's not pretty....lol.
Gracias Cee!!
ReplyDeleteUna sorpresa me llevé esta mañana cuando vi mi blog nominado.
Un beso.
You are very welcome Paulina, you deserve it! I may not understand Spanish that well, but your photographs are beautiful in every language :)
DeleteThank you for your kind words, Cee. I've been reading and following your blog since I began my soap journey. You are a great source of inspiration for me and your generosity in helping other soap makers is something I admire.
ReplyDeleteWow, Cee! You were a competitive figure skater? It's my favorite Winter Olympic sport to watch. And you won $10,000? Must be all that good karma you've sown. :-)
You're most welcome Silvia, I've really enjoyed following your blogs too, and I've learned a lot and appreciate your willingness to share.
DeleteWhen I look back, I wish that I had stuck with the figure skating longer, but it was a very hard decision at the time. I have great memories though :)
Congrats, Cee! And how cool that you got to babysit two bear cubs, won $10,000, and figure skated competitively!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jenny! :)
DeleteHey ,this list should have been longer, it's really cool that you won money, but I 'm admiring you more for figure skating I love this artistic sport!
ReplyDeleteIt's always good to know more about your blogger sisters!
Maybe one day I will get brave and post a 40-things list like Silvia did! I can't wait to read your list, I'm off to check it out! :)
DeleteI love learning a little more about the people behind all the blogs I enjoy! (I agree with Diva--the lists should be longer!)
ReplyDeleteI've been through British Columbia and that is a beautiful place, Cee!
We really like it here Amy, the weather stays fairly mild and there are lots of sea to sky activities for the adventurous :) I sure love visiting and discovering other places though, I wish I could travel more often!
DeleteCongratulations Cee! It was really interesting to read all those things about you! Looking forward to your new posts because your blog is really one of may favorites!
ReplyDeleteThank you Gordana, that is so very sweet of you! Your blog is one of my favorites that I frequently visit too! :)
DeleteCongratulations! YOU deserve this nomination and Silvia by SoapJam is an angel!
ReplyDeleteYou are so sweeet !!! THANK YOU SO MUCH, YOU MADE MY DAY!
I would also like you to know that I admire all the work and passion you put on it.
All people passionate about what they do deserve a prize every single day,to stimulate the creativity and quality, especially today in a human society that is losing the sense of real good things...
Anyway, with your permission,I thank you again for this honor and I invite you and anyone interested in, to visit my blog where I posted some time ago ( what sweet times ) a few things about me, here:http://alegriamediterranea.blogspot.com.es/2011/07/versatile-blogger-award.html.
Wishing you the best and a very happy day!
With much Love and Consideration,Claudia.
Thank you so much Claudia for your kinds words and for linking to your blog so we could learn more about you too! Your photographs are truly stunning as are your products, you are an artist in the true sense of the word!
DeleteOh my! Thank you so much for the nomination! You are awesome.
ReplyDeleteBear Cubs?! That must have been just the best. Did you take pictures :)
Competitive Figure Skater - that is pretty cool!!! Are you watching the olympics?
You are most welcome! We did take a couple of pictures, but I'm not sure where there are now, the only thing I remember vividly was their huge paws even though they were babies, and they had blue eyes!
DeleteI miss this, Cee! How cool that you won money! and how intresting to find out that you are a figure skating!
ReplyDeleteWhy is this list always so short? :)
Maybe we should all do longer ones?! ;)
DeleteOh, shoot! I just saw this. I have been out of pocket with work busy stuff. Will do it by the end of the weekend. Thanks for thinking of me!
ReplyDeleteNo worries Dana, looking forward to seeing your post! :)
